How to Deal With The Default-network Problem Of EIGRP

Mar 2019 13

Asked: Currently, There is no neighbor relationship established between R1 and R2. But R2 and R3, R4,and R5 establish neighbor relationships of EIGRP. R1 is used to simulate ISP. I want to make an IP default-network on R2, so that R3, R4, and R5 can be learned, and PING can pass R1. What should I do?

I have tried this way, but it didn’t work.
ip defaulte-network 192.168.100.0
ip route 192.168.100.0 255.255.255.0 s0/1

Answered:
The re-injection of static routes in EIGRP relate to metrics, and the seed metrics of EIGRP and RIP are infinity. Redistribute static metric: 1000 100 255 1 1500.
You asked Why the other routes do not have a default route?
You should declare the network segment 192.168.100.0 into EIGRP!

Replied:
Thank you very much, I tried to redistribute this statement, but there is still no such route on other routers.
Regarding default-network, I tried the method you told me. There are default routes on other routers. But there is still a problem. R3, R4, R5 can connect the interface address 192.168.100.2 on R2, but PING couldn’t pass t S1 192.168.100.1 on S0/0address. why? How to solve it?

Answered:
Eigrp stub static only publish static routes to go out wow landlord. You can try to send direct connection.

Replied:
Thank you so much! I have a static route on R1 to return to R2, ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 s0/0, this problem is done!
